We can live well with Sto Sil on Q2. Really, even our visitors don't notice it negatively. As I said, we didn't just simply roll it out, but my brother went ahead with the foam roller and applied the stuff thickly. I followed behind with a ceiling brush and wiped in large semicircles. Since the stuff contains grains, it now looks intentionally uneven. My brother says architects love it, they like to specify it, and the painter then charges a sky-high price for a job that any journeyman with an apprentice as helper can do. Try it in the basement, and I tell you, it will make its way upstairs.
I once put quartz sand in paint and worked the wall with a brush. Does it look comparable then?
