Hi Dirk,
you’re right that €1500 would probably be better, our idea is just a bit less monthly and instead the special repayments.
So... the upgrade stage should be turnkey, only the usual things like wallpapering, painting and laying floors I’ll do myself. Kitchen is also my area ;-)

€10,000 for the pure quantity survey I find acceptable with a serious, proper specification of services. Have the contract and specification checked beforehand and, if possible, of course include all important points in the contract from the start.

Where I would be more concerned, for example, are additional earthworks. Is there a soil survey for your property? Because in case of doubt, quite significant additional costs can arise that are not considered beforehand.
