Hello everyone,
Last week, in the course of our new single-family house construction, we had the house connection for electricity, water, and cable TV (Vodafone) installed. We deliberately decided not to connect to Deutsche Telekom for the time being.
The entry into the house is also designed for the first three connections mentioned. Additionally, at the same location, we had an empty conduit for fiber optic (Microduct) installed so that in case of a switch to fiber optic, only the ground near the house would need to be dug up for the supply.
Since no space was planned in the house entry for the Microduct, this empty conduit was supposed to remain outside the house so that it could be pulled into the house if needed. However, in my opinion, the construction company executed the cable far too short, so that a supply into the house is no longer possible. At least a loop or something similar would have been additionally necessary.
Can you tell me if an extension can be made to the mentioned Microduct pipe so that a supply into the house would be possible if needed?
