If you want to present the whole thing as a time-lapse video, it might not work under certain circumstances, since the angle is never 100% the same and there are too few images for a video. Besides, you wouldn't have to go to the construction site every day.

When it comes to photography, I am not an expert at all. Isn’t there some way to cobble it together? Well, personally it wouldn’t be important to me to have time-lapse stuff, and to avoid resentment, I would rather skip cameras from the start. A good acquaintance of mine got into a lot of trouble because he installed cameras (and not cheap ones at that).

I'm not really a photo+video freak either, but somewhere here in the forum a time-lapse video was posted. That was quite interesting. Unfortunately, I just can't find it anymore.

I don't understand the whole discussion. Are you asked when you go to the supermarket/shopping center and there are cameras hanging from the ceiling? There is probably a very small sign on the entrance door stating that this store/object is under video surveillance. By entering the store despite the notice (implied consent), you accept the condition. In this respect, I hardly believe that private property cannot be monitored and everyone must first be asked for permission, but a simple sign on the property/construction fence should be enough.

How do the owners of a doorbell system with video function or IP camera handle the issue? If I read it correctly, the systems can record. In my opinion, that would be the same thing.

I definitely don't know whether that is allowed or not. As the executing craftsman, I personally couldn't care less. Whether Google knows about my internet behavior or the homeowner sees me sitting during snack time........ But there are said to be people who take that very, very seriously and involve courts. Better to leave it be to save your nerves. ;)

So I spoke with the shell builder and he has no objections as long as I do not go public with the photos, or the faces are not recognizable. So far so good. Now the shell builder will soon be finished and other craftsmen will move in.......

But remember that these are personal rights of the craftsmen, not of the [Rohbau-Unternehmens].
