Not only for the mason but also for the do-it-yourself handyman. The recommendation was neither towards aerated concrete nor calcium silicate blocks but in favor of the Unipor blocks. I basically have no problem with it either; in my opinion, only calcium silicate offers even more advantages such as higher sound insulation and later fewer problems when something needs to be attached to the wall.
