Is an expert necessary in addition to the architect and construction manager?

If the architect is a full-time artist who never shows up on the construction site, I would want to add that (or delegate the site management, one of the most expensive service phases, elsewhere). We also built with architects, it was a two-person team. One more of the artist type, the other a civil engineer. The construction site was visited daily by one of the two.

The architectural draftsman is not a shirker, but simply not suitable for a life outside the academic safe haven. The pure theorist usually reveals himself when estimating costs. The best way to avoid both is the simple trick of never meeting architects for acquaintance in the office, but on their construction sites.
