Is a wood stove just a plaything with underfloor heating?

Not only during the transition period. I know people who turn the heating down as much as possible in the living area because they light the stove in the evening anyway.

I'm really looking forward to our

We want to build a bungalow with controlled living space ventilation (recoVair) and a "Swedish stove." According to Vaillant, the recoVair has an STOV function

Excerpt from the manual:
STOV protective circuit against negative pressure recoVAIR VAR 275/3 350/3 factory setting OFF OFF ON = the air volume of the fans remains constant even in frost protection mode (both fans then run slower), in the event of failure of one fan, the other is also switched off. This protective circuit prevents negative pressure caused by the sole shutdown of the supply air fan.

Is this protective circuit sufficient, or is it mandatory to install a negative pressure monitor?

The only person who can tell you this reliably and legally is your local district chimney sweep. So ask there; without their approval, nothing works during the later commissioning. Even if 200 people here have told you: "it's fine."

The central heat source as such should not be underestimated. You don't have that with underfloor heating.

I generally find fireplaces a gimmick, but a nice one... they are quite cozy, especially in the winter months... on the other hand, I wouldn’t put one in the hallway... rather only where you actually spend time. You don’t spend much time in the hallway during the day.

Feeling of well-being, but without direct view. So in the corner of the hallway near the kitchen and living room. I think there is a cozy feeling when the stove is burning – maybe in the transitional season – and all the room doors are open.
