Is a ventilation system cost-effective? Does it save money?

Often, the benefits of systems are considered without taking human behavior into account. I don’t want to know how many people are sitting in their houses with such systems and have already missed the second-to-last maintenance appointment for the filters. The extent to which the comfort gain of no longer having to ventilate manually outweighs the recommended effort for the controlled residential ventilation is probably a matter of the type. Manufacturers recommend a visual inspection every 3-6 months, and at that time the coarse filter should also be replaced. The fine filter is changed somewhat less frequently, and maintenance is supposed to be done every 12 months. Those who behave accordingly naturally pay significantly more than someone who considers it a money-making scheme. Incidentally, hygiene institutes side with the manufacturers here. With a decentralized system, the number of filters multiplies. I would find that absolutely dreadful.
It’s not for me. I’m already annoyed by the kitchen extractor hood – but at least that doesn’t determine the quality of my breathing air.
The difference between theory and practice is easily defined: theoretically, there is none.

Most systems actually alert you to change the filter. It takes about 15-20 seconds per device. Or longer if you cut the filters yourself and don’t use ready-made filters. Then you get new filters every three months and a direct check.
You don’t have real effort — even though many are probably still too lazy for it...

Well, its fat content does. Did I already say that punctuation emoticons are sorely missing?

That's primarily what I mean by sluggishness. The "no real effort" is true in the reduced individual consideration. You just need to have the filters in stock and simply do the tasks in a few minutes when they're due. But I also mean the quantity of "no real effort" tasks. For some devices, you "manage" an inventory of consumables. Filters, descaler, salt... in various formats. It adds up like with customer accounts of providers and service providers. Here the telephone provider, there the electricity provider, over there the water supplier and who knows what other customer accounts, and eventually you sit there, at best you manage to get into your account without a "forgot password," and download the invoices for the tax return with "no real effort" (often orienting yourself in a "better" designed web interface). I am one of those people who tend to perceive this sum of requirements as a burden. Therefore I strive for solutions that avoid this. Comfort gain is simply not the same for every person. Who wants to declare themselves the "standard" there anyway.

:D:D:D Hooray. This way you can add a corresponding hallmark to some ironic but kindly meant sentence again.
