Is a stair floor plan 2x1/4 spiraled + landing possible with a maximum of 2.4x2.4m?

Hello everyone,

We have planned a half-turn staircase. It has to overcome a height of 2.95m. Space requirement: 1.8mx2m

That seems to me norm-calculated and sufficiently dimensioned for a main staircase. Opinions?

However, we would like a landing staircase. To manage the space, I would make 2 x 1/4 turns with landings each in the corner of the staircase. What space do we need for this? Unfortunately, I can't find a calculator for this.

Is it generally mandatory to choose a norm-compliant staircase or can one deviate within a certain framework?

I would be grateful for suggestions!

Here are the dimensions for the staircase:

17 STG
17.35/24.6

Can someone tell me if a three-flight staircase with 7+3+7 = 17 steps and two landings with 90cm stair width and landing depth works?

Thanks!

If the staircase were spiral, you could accommodate about four risers on the area of such a landing. As a rule of thumb, I would say that the floor space consumed by the landings must be counted almost entirely on top, also for the dimensions.

What kind of awkward stumbling do you want to make out of the staircase usage? - even steps and uniformity of the risers go together. 90 cm to 24.6 cm would be approximately 3.66 tread depths; 70.7 cm distance in the radius correspond to 2.87 tread depths. Apart from that, the riser measurement 17.35 / 24.6 results in a stride length of 59.3 cm, which in my opinion is borderline steep; 62-63 cm are recommended.

Thank you for the hint, i.e. the rise is okay but the tread should be extended? I followed the standard and here "green" was indicated from a step length of 59cm.

With a depth of 220cm, I would have a step length of 61.8cm with the same rise and 17 steps, would that be okay?

What would you think of 16 x 18.43 / 26?

Here you will find the minimum! dimensions of a main staircase in residential houses.
