Is a semi-detached house sensible as a prefabricated house?

Hello,

since plots for single-family houses are scarce here, we may possibly have to resort to a semi-detached house. It is supposed to offer similar living comfort to a single-family house, according to everything I have read.

Single-family houses are increasingly being built using prefabricated construction. Are semi-detached houses also built using prefabricated construction? So far, I have only read about entire duplex houses, but here it would be just one half. If that is possible, does it even make sense, or do people rather go the solid construction route?

As far as I know, there are prefabricated semi-detached houses. I believe, for example, the company Schwörerhaus produces such houses, but I am not one hundred percent sure. It’s best if you check their homepage.
