Hello everyone,

many banks want very detailed invoices for everything.

How is it when you have private craftsmen in your circle of friends and want to pay them something? You can also write invoices as a private person without tax, etc. I get official invoices for the materials from the trade.

Because with us, the roof, electrical, and plumbing work should be done by friends, but they don't want to do it completely for free and above all they SHOULDN'T do it for free.

Does anyone have experience with something like this? - Or is it basically to be labeled as undeclared work?

Many thanks and best regards

Everything that bypasses the tax authorities - especially at your scale - is not legal. You can no longer justify it as a favor.

Whether it is undeclared work or not, I cannot judge - it probably also depends on the amount of the payments. Apart from that, for example, our bank was not interested in who and whether the work was done with an invoice. We only needed proof (usually photos) that the work was done.

Even that was not required by our bank. However, at the end of the construction work, our acquaintance from the bank came and took photos of our house (inside and outside) to confirm that all the work had been completed.

And could you theoretically have also said: We need 20,000 euros next for the roof, plumbing, and electrical, and they would have transferred it then?

More important than the bank is probably the professional association, which will charge you an appropriate contribution if you list the helper hours accordingly, which is mandatory due to the accident risk. For us, it is like this: we say "we need," and when we need again, we have to prove where the other money has gone. But by then, you already have the material invoices as proof.
