I only saw a report on this as recently as this week: "Cradle-to-cradle" also in the construction industry.

It exists and it works. However, only if the building was constructed from the start with the appropriate materials and techniques. That means, only in new buildings where special attention is paid to this will it eventually be possible to recycle the materials to a significant extent cost-effectively.

However, when thinking about time horizons of 50-100 years, I also consider that entirely new materials and techniques might be available by then...
