In the KNX forum there was once a pretty good comparison test of the PMs (but that was quite some time ago). You really have to experiment a bit until you find the right one that fulfills the purposes 100%. I use the ABB PM/A1.1.1 in the WC. The MDT might be too small. I have found that PMs with large lenses deliver significantly better results with almost no movement.

Can you tell me the title of the topic? I couldn't quickly find any comparison. Are you satisfied with the ABB? Yes, the MDT for MR16 housings is nicely inconspicuous. A similar category is also the B.E.G. PD11-M-1C. However, I'm unsure if it also poorly detects immobility.

I tried to figure out EnOcean. But honestly, I didn’t quite get it or find anything useful?? Is there a suitable resource with understandable information?

What would be the advantage compared to "conventional" wiring with motion sensors at 230 or 12 volts? Especially for stair lights, I found a few sets in the mainstream that looked interesting.

Regarding motion sensors, I found an interesting discussion. They would also all be usable conventionally.

Thanks! mini

Conventional motion detectors usually have only one function, namely turning the light on or off. The relays click relatively often with a high volume. They have little to no adjustment options. They only have one PIR sensor. In principle, they are just automatic switches on the wall/ceiling.

Somewhat "smarter" devices can do a little more. It doesn’t matter which system you use. Whether EnOcean or something else, all can be adjusted more precisely, for example.

With EnOcean (or other retrofit systems), you can use the conventional wiring. Since you want to do without a structured one, you have no other choice.

What questions do you have?
