Internal insulation of exterior wall without Styrofoam

Hello,

we have a small outbuilding with two rooms, each with three exterior walls. In one of the two rooms, battens are attached to the inside of the exterior walls, with plastic-coated chipboards on top. Styrofoam boards are placed between the battens. We would like to replace the chipboards with "real" wood, that is untreated tongue-and-groove boards. We would like to remove the Styrofoam boards, but replace them with another material for insulation. And therefore the question: with which material could this be done?

I insulated my walls from the inside with clamp felt. Incl. vapor barrier

Thank you for the quick response. Do you have wood in front or something else? Has the felt stayed dry? And what about the ceiling, is a vapor barrier needed there as well? Above that is an unheated attic...

I have erected a stud wall made of metal profiles and placed insulation wool behind it. Then everything was nicely sealed with vapor barrier foil, including the ceiling, and then plasterboard was screwed in front. You can also see this on the various manufacturer pages.
