I don't think much of these drywall partitions and prefer walls. This is more time-consuming, but also more solid. It's also easier to attach things there than on the gypsum boards.

Hello,

Sure, especially with 17.5 cm walls and thinner. It is more labor-intensive to install plasterboard instead of masonry, which is why this form of interior construction is somewhat more expensive compared to masonry.

The issue in the attic is usually soundproofing to separate the sleeping areas, and this cannot be achieved with toy thicknesses – not even massive ones. Only sand-lime brick is an exception here, but few stones tolerate mixing materials. So either entirely in sand-lime brick + ETICS or clinker or another stone, and in the attic plasterboard or gypsum fiberboards if the client is noise sensitive.

For fastening, you need a special anchor for every stone; neither on sand-lime brick, nor hollow bricks, expanded clay or aerated concrete, etc., will anything hold – apart from a picture – without special suspension.

Rhenish greetings

Thank you very much for all the answers! I am barely able to get into the forum lately due to professional appointments and virus attacks, but I have noted all the arguments and will take them into the next discussion with our negotiating partners.

Best regards,

Small tip on the side: Fermacell gypsum fiber boards, double mounted, with insulation (Isover Akustik) in between. Advantage: they can be easily dismantled during a later renovation, are slim and easy to install - primer on top + paint, done. Alternatively, I would use an 11.5 cm KSV / KSL (solid brick, perforated brick), according to structural engineering. However, more complex to produce TW + plastered on both sides. Gypsum boards, expanded clay or bricks also work.

We have 6x8 cm KVH studwork with 12mm OSB on both sides and 12.5 mm GKB on both sides (so much for the topic of wall mounting per masonry, I at least don’t need a plug and don’t have to pre-drill and hardly have any dust or dirt; I can screw and nail directly into the wall, even the 50-inch flat screen TV holds perfectly) and inside filled with 6 cm partition board.

The studwork to the adjoining apartment (it’s basically like a semi-detached house) is double, and in the middle I simply placed 5cm concrete slabs as mass, which also works great. Compared to my neighbor’s house built with aerated concrete construction with lime sand interior walls (same year built) it’s not better.

Oh, you lose me with the abbreviations - what are KSV, KSL, KVH, OSB, and GKB?
