We unfortunately have a plastering problem. Our interior plaster was applied two days before the current cold period. Since then, it has been freezing on the walls for 2 weeks. The house is still open and is not heated. In some places, the plaster has become porous/rough and flaky. Can the plaster be damaged (invisible) and only noticed when the house is used? Can the plaster be inspected and who does this?

Hello Krolock,

if the plaster or the water in the plaster is frozen, the plaster cannot bond with the masonry. Ergo, it "may" be that the plaster falls off later or hollows appear. Tap the entire wall and listen to how it sounds. Since your house is still open and unheated, moisture from outside is also coming in. Tap everything off first, and then you'll see what to do next.

P.S. Didn't you or the bricklayer read the weather report?
