Since all interior finishing works were carried out by the general contractor because ordered and paid for in this way, we do not have to take care of any on-site issues.
However, you might have had to, because anything not included in the scope of work will not be done.
From what I gathered, it is a prefabricated house.
Perhaps initially the wood was too wet, so that during the drying process the house shrank more than usual.
With us, the wood was also too wet when assembling the roof truss. This was recorded in the expert's report during the roof acceptance and resolved itself during construction. So everything was fine.
But you should have noticed that back then and not now, after 7 years.
I was never keen on confronting the manufacturer right away with heavy artillery like experts etc.
Having a building expert accompany the construction is not heavy artillery, but almost the standard. Those who are familiar with the subject or have someone knowledgeable by their side naturally do not need one. However, as a layperson it is always helpful to have someone at hand who can argue on equal footing and knows what matters.
