Hello everyone, I have a question, maybe someone knows about this. Now that our shell construction is finished, the plasterers are next. Tomorrow, the interior plastering is supposed to begin. The weather forecast predicts temperatures of 4 to 5 degrees in the next few days. At night, the temperatures are expected to be around freezing point, even down to minus 5 degrees the day after tomorrow. The site manager said that wouldn’t matter. If the temperatures rise again, the exterior plaster should also be applied right away. A friend told me today that this is total nonsense. If the interior plaster is applied to the walls now and then the screed is laid, there will be so much moisture in the house that it cannot escape if the exterior plaster is applied immediately afterward. Apart from the fact that it must never be colder than plus 5 degrees in the first days and nights. So if the exterior plaster is to be applied this winter, I can be sure that I will have mold in the house after some time. I should wait at least until spring. Sounds plausible. What do you think?
