Why aren't you a fan of sealing the house "airtight," berte?

Besides, a well-functioning ETICS is not available for just a few bucks, instead an alternative cheap product from the hardware store is installed without purpose or reason, wrong heating and wrong ventilation come into play, and then the misery with mold begins...

External Thermal Insulation Composite System is not the same as thermal insulation. It is no coincidence that the term SYSTEM appears in ETICS; according to the generally applicable guidelines, it must only be installed as a coherent system and must not consist of a mix of different companies and building materials... A well-functioning ETICS can only work if not only the walls are "insulated" but also the basement and the roof...that's why SYSTEM.
