I suspect that the company of the injured construction worker has made a statement to others (e.g. BG) that tends to be somewhat peripheral to the truth. - in the manner of: "the pipe was not covered at all" This information may have been received by the OP during a phone call with X, including the words "I probably shouldn't be telling you that."

But - nothing is certain. Therefore, I would also appreciate a description - perhaps after the OP has slept on it for a night and the emotions have calmed down a bit.

So I would really be interested to know how this all turns out. No mockery!

Next to us, the developer is building the last house (3 floors). So there are quite a few problems there too! Junior already has a construction site ban. For a 3-year-old, ladders & co. are

Once the matter is settled, I will certainly provide feedback... f-pNo has already made good deductions. However, I do not want to go into more details, as this is still an ongoing process. For my part, I am glad to have taken out builder's liability and construction performance insurance in time and to have documented many things otherwise as well.
