Hello everyone,
we are planning to include a second bathroom on the upper floor in our floor plan, under which there is actually no bathroom or kitchen on the ground floor, and the installation shaft is basically in the middle of the living/dining room. But right there we are planning a fireplace. Now the question: Could we install the installation shaft directly next to the fireplace shaft as well? If this protrusion is somewhat wider, it shouldn't affect the appearance, since a sort of panoramic fireplace is supposed to be placed in front of it anyway. I hope I was able to clarify what the consideration is.
If that is not possible, could the installation shaft perhaps be shifted so that it does not run through the living room but rather through the guest room? What is the maximum that is possible here, or does the shaft have to be directly routed down from the bathroom?
