Would be a pig in a poke for me. What does brand product really mean? Isn’t hardware store merchandise also a brand product?

For the calculation, the BT must have assumed a switch program. Why not be transparent and name it...

...and it wouldn’t be the first time that hardware store merchandise is considered a brand product by the BT, for example Town & Country here in our area likes to do that quite often. "A switch program from a brand manufacturer"... and then you follow up and get a name you’ve never heard of... great.

I can only recommend making a clear and explicit addition in the contract with the BT about exactly what is desired to avoid surprises, unless you like costly surprises [emoji6]

Unfortunately not, that is exactly my point. Is Voltomat, for example, a brand product?

Yes, it does say that, it is "glw".... at least from the perspective of the aforementioned developer. And that is a real example...

And to avoid exactly this discussion AFTER signing the contract, decide IN ADVANCE what you will get. I’m not saying more, everything else would be, in my opinion, grossly negligent... just a recommendation. [emoji6]
