Have the muntin bars made at the buttocks or elbow height, because of [Tablett] and co.

It would actually come down to that. The grip recess is also in the middle bar. It is practical in any case. For me, it was more about optical aspects, since we currently still have an unobstructed view through the (sometimes also clean) floor-to-ceiling window elements to the outside greenery. And then the crossbar just hangs there.

looks away, and for the watching hours we have a door stopper. Without the bar, guests would have already walked through

I have a sliding door against flies without bars that is 250cm long. You can hardly see it at all. Visitors don't see anything at all; they run into it at first. :D

The stuff is really massively overpriced. In the end, these are aluminum frames with plastic mesh inside. You can very easily make them yourself for windows, there are regularly sets available at Lidl and similar stores. It is no different in quality, but costs just a fraction. I would always make something like this myself, it’s not rocket science. And if you measure wrong or cut incorrectly, you just do it again, you still saved yourself a cheap used car or a nice vacation.

Objection!
No cheap plastic and what you get at discount stores is junk.
