Ikea Pax wardrobe - door hinge and drawer collision

Hello everyone,

I treated myself to a Pax wardrobe with hinged doors over the weekend. Planned it online, picked it up at the store, and started assembling. When the carcasses were set up and I began working on the interior fittings and the doors, I unfortunately found that there was a collision between the Komplement divider with four Komplement drawers each and the door hinge. In other words, there is so little clearance between the two that the bottom drawer rubs against the hinge. Does anyone have a similar situation and can give me some tips?

I would go to Ikea with a printout from the planner and a photo of the problem and demand a return. If the planner misrepresents something, in my opinion that is a consulting error.

Trick to still fit a drawer despite the hinges.

IKEA offered to take back the fully assembled drawers because the drawers rub against the hinges.
But here’s how it still works:
1. Turn the adjustment screw on the hinge all the way to the stop so the hinge takes up as little space as possible. This shifts the door sideways by about 2mm.
2. File down the protruding adjustment screw. You can still turn it afterwards.
3. For certain drawers, I had to turn two drill holes into elongated holes to improve sliding (relieve tension between the guide rails). These are the drill holes where the drawer hooks into the guide rail.
Specifically, on the hinge-less side, one at the front, one at the back.
This also causes a slight sideways shift of the drawer.

I am currently facing the same problem. I ordered 2x100cm Pax with 3 drawers each with glass inserts at the bottom. When creating it with the Pax planner, there were no problems with this combination. It was accepted without any issues.

First, I installed all the drawers. They ran perfectly. Took the drawers out again, installed the first door. Wanted to put the drawers back in to see if I needed to adjust the door hinges. The lowest drawer suddenly became difficult to move. A closer look showed the problem: hinge screw, even when screwed in all the way, scratches the side of the drawer. End result: about 30cm of the foil on one side of the drawer has already been scratched off. Filing down as suggested here does not make sense in my case, since with a 100cm cabinet there also needs to be a door with a hinge on the other side.

I will try to get the defective drawer exchanged.

EDIT:
I just tried again on the Ikea site with the Pax planner to recreate "my" cabinet. NOW it no longer works. Apparently, too many customers have complained about the problem. Still annoying for me, because if I had known that, I would have definitely planned differently and chosen other components accordingly...
