Ikea Pax corner wardrobe - gap between doors! Tips?

Hello everyone,

we recently bought a Pax wardrobe with a corner unit. Everything is assembled – but the two doors that meet at a 90-degree angle in the corner don’t close, instead leaving a gap of about three to four centimeters. You CAN’T possibly assemble the wardrobe incorrectly or install the doors wrong... So where does this gap come from? Does anyone have an idea?

Hello, 3-4 cm is already very large. Seal strip attached to the door without handle? Were the thick buffers used? Are the hinges adjusted so that both doors are as close as possible to the corner?

thank you for your answer. The buffer and sealing strip haven't been installed yet. But at least the strip won't make much of a difference, since it's only narrow. As a temporary solution, we have also thought about adjusting the hinges so that the doors no longer align flush with the side panel on the hinge side. But that's not really nice. And when I look at the example photos on IKEA pages, that apparently shouldn't be the case... A call to Ikea showed: Gap? Can't be. I will probably take a proof photo and go to Ikea...

yesterday I assembled the new hexagonal PAX corner cabinet with the carpenter I trust, and we have the same problem. What is very curious here is that this new corner solution is not shown at all online at IKEA; we also wondered if there are special doors for the corner cabinet. On each side, about 8mm are missing when we center the door. Not exactly nice;-(((
