IKEA LAGAN DW60 - Water Supply Hose Extension

I share the same opinion. I have neither heard of nor seen a transparent hose. A gray, ribbed hose, that's it.

Nevertheless, the matter should be investigated because it is then incorrectly stated in the [Bedienungsanleitungen]. I will also take care of it, but only starting next week.

Transparent hose?

Whirlpool used it, but with "red coloring."

I once talked years ago with a technician from Bauknecht Service Something, on the side it was also about the various Aqua "Schlagmichtot" systems, if I remember correctly his original wording was "pointless."
The reason was that the pressure hoses today are so high-pressure resistant up to 60 bar (water supply max 9 bar) that it is absolutely sufficient, only the fear of people and the insurances still want it. He also said the outer hose is only pressure resistant up to 12 bar, moreover, if the outer hose is damaged during installation, squeezing occurs when the machine briefly sits/leans/stands on the hose, it wears out faster than the inner pressure hose. This apparently happened quite often.

According to what he said, Bauknecht once developed an absolute system, absolutely foolproof, absolutely reliable, only the costs per device would have been about 150 euros higher. Don’t ask if production/development costs or final price, anyway they didn’t use it because their machines would then have become too expensive and Bauknecht was probably scared of not selling anything anymore.
