Hello, maybe someone of you can help me.

I recently bought a kitchen at Ikea and had it assembled right away. In the end, the assembly went fairly smoothly. Only one cable for the lighting was missing. Since I consider myself somewhat handy, connecting the lighting shouldn't be a problem... or so I thought.

My problem is as follows:

Left and right next to the extractor hood (Utrag) I have the "Utrusta" work lighting under the wall cabinets. The light works on the left side of the extractor hood. However, since the connecting cable on the right side for the lighting was missing, I wanted to install it now. But this is easier said than done, as there is no space to accommodate the plug. The lighting is installed so close to the extractor hood on both the left and right sides that I cannot connect the lights with the connecting cable. Is there a trick or can someone help me solve the problem? I would be very grateful for any answers.

Hello, if you have, for example, two 60 cm lights on the right, you can replace them with a 40 cm with power supply (whose connection is at the back) and an 80 cm.

Hello, unfortunately I have no other option than to use the existing light. The light to the right of the [Dunstabzugshaube] is 40 cm long, but I would prefer not to mount it away from the wall.

I don't understand now. You can simply replace the 40 cm light without power supply with one that has it.

The 40 cm lamp fits exactly into a gap and it should be possible to connect the lamps together. I am certainly not the first person to buy Ikea lamps that are installed to the left and right of a [Dunstabzugshaube].

Most people buy chimney hoods, so this problem does not arise. It is only €5 more for the lamp with power supply, which is justified compared to the price difference between a medium and a tall Maximera.
