Ikea Grytnäs front in Billy shelf IKEA, tips and dimensions needed

Hello everyone.
I have a question.
Today I saw a picture where someone attached GRYTNÄS fronts (40x100) to a Billy bookcase (80x106).
I thought it looked very good and would like to recreate it myself.
The Utrusta hinges do not fit the Billy bookcase, of course, because the dimensions are different.
My question now is whether any of you have already done this, can give me tips, or maybe even have the measurements?

You have to drill the appropriate holes yourself (for Metod edge distance 20 mm 52 mm, see ).

Hello Dietmar, how did the project work out? Were there any major difficulties? Would you recommend combining the two series? I am currently facing a decision, as I am looking for a narrow tall kitchen cabinet and since there are no 40 cm tall cabinets from Metod, I also wanted to combine a Billy with the Grytnäs door. Hello Fan 1234 Sorry that I haven't written anything anymore. So, I have combined the two things and I have to say the result is absolutely great. It looks excellent and is really stable and very easy to combine in terms of dimensions. Changing the drillings was, however, a test of patience. Lots of measuring, marking, and stopping until you had the right dimension. Unfortunately, I don’t have my template anymore, otherwise, I could send you the measurements. Damn. That would have made it much easier. But with a bit of patience (which is not my strength) it works. The important thing is, if you want to modify several cabinets, to make yourself a template out of cardboard where you mark the holes. Then the other cabinets are done quickly.
