Hello Ikea fans!
I need some help from someone who has been familiar with IKEA for 20 years: I moved into a house in 1995, whose basement had a shelf similar to today’s Hejne. After moving, I bought additional parts around the turn of the millennium to expand it. If I remember correctly, the shelf was called Ivar back then, and unfortunately there is currently a small disagreement about this, which now needs to be clarified...
In any case, it was assembled like today’s HEJNE with black screws. There were 2 depths, 2 widths, and 2 different heights, and it was made of simple pinewood. Later, there were also (pre-assembled) wine racks as shelves (initially with cross slats with triangular, later with rectangular cross sections).
The names may have changed several times since then, but what was the shelf called between 1995 and 2002? Sten or Gorm or IVAR?
It might also be helpful to get a photo of the IVAR series from one of the IKEA catalogs of that time by email, if it still exists somewhere.
Thanks in advance for all answers!
