Hello dear people,

my cabinet is hung and the flap is attached, but unfortunately it always falls on my head at an opening angle of less than 90° [B]. At work I know the Faktum kitchen with flap, which also stays open at a 45° angle. I would like to know which of the many screws I can tighten to adjust the "tension" of the springs... or what else I need to consider so that the flap stays open even half way. I would be really very very grateful for an enlightening answer. My head already hurts so much.

Best regards Kimacat

I think you have the silver scissors hinges, right?

In the middle of the hinge is an Allen screw. Turn it to the right this time. If it now falls down more easily, simply turn it in the other direction. If it still doesn't work, they are probably broken. How old are the hinges? Normally, you can get replacements from customer service. Ask them about it. If you have a receipt, you might be able to get them that way. Otherwise, probably for a small fee.

Dear Maverick1854,

thank you for your prompt reply.
Unfortunately, I do not know if these are scissors hinges; in any case, I have not found any [INBUS]-screw for adjustment on or in it... everything I adjust is meant for fastening and has proper threaded screws with a Phillips head.

The cabinet is brand new and was installed by the landlady.
I am stuck.

Regards

Everything is fine!
That helped:
Unfortunately, of course, exactly these adjustment screws are gone and cannot be found anymore!
:D

and again: all good.

It has been resolved.

The adjustment is possible with a standard Phillips screwdriver if you turn towards the " " symbol (all the way to the right (in the UZS), then the flap won’t fall anymore!

I love it when I have practically helped myself :)
Thanks Maverick, anyway.
