Ikea FAKTUM base cabinet with drawers 35 cm wide?

In our planned kitchen, there is 35 cm of space next to the stove. Ideally, there would be a base cabinet with 5 drawers here.

There is such a drawer cabinet with a width of 40 cm (FA 114). Can the drawers and fronts be shortened accordingly with some craftsmanship?

Or would it be an option to take the FA 117 with three drawers? But then 5 cm would be wasted. Another disadvantage: Only 3 drawers, and for opening the top drawer you always need two steps: first the front with the lower drawer and then the upper one.

Or are there any other ideas?

we had the same issue. Next to the stove 55 cm space and didn’t want to waste any... in the end there was a 50 cm cabinet & a pull-out rod for towels in the 5 cm between cabinet & fridge.

The pull-out rod was screwed from underneath to the board, so that worked perfectly. And regarding 5 drawers... two in a 30 cm are enough. With three, it would have become too small for us with the pull-outs. But we only have the inserts & the lower drawer is screwed to the door.
