I ask the question differently.

Someone who spends money on automation usually values technical comfort. (Putting technical playfulness aside.) Why would such a person want to do without the comfort of a [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung]?

A [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung] costs 12-15k. Sure, that's an investment. If someone says they don't want to spend that money, okay. But then to spend another 3-4k (guessing!) for sensors, wiring, control, and possibly motors + the energy loss... I don't know...

Especially since I believe if you do it right, you can still get 35% funding for the [Kontrollierte-Wohnraumlüftung], right?

Yes, in combination with a heat pump and joint control, the controlled residential ventilation is also promoted.

My wish is of course to integrate as much as possible there and connect it sensibly. For cost reasons, I have to decide for one thing and unfortunately against the other. A ventilation system is therefore not an option, but for the home control I will implement some things myself (be it laying the cables and configuring the control) and can thus enable certain provisions for later retrofits or even direct implementations. Whether with ventilation or not, my sportswear will still stink and I have to dry it either in the utility room or in the garage :D

I would take a closer look at that...

Controlled residential ventilation 15k - funding 6k - reinvest automation ??? how much more remains?
You always have to consider a ventilation concept. If you possibly factor in any decentralized units at least in the bathroom or window rebate, the difference becomes even smaller.
Not to mention the energy-saving effect, because opening windows really lets energy out in winter.
But it’s also a matter of belief, regarding your initial question:

Yesterday evening around 9 PM took shirts out of the washing machine. Ran on the shirt program at 800 RPM so still very wet. Hung them on hangers in the technical room cellar at 17 degrees. Exhaust air connected to controlled residential ventilation.
Dry this morning.

I like my controlled residential ventilation :-)

I initially did not plan for the controlled residential ventilation either. Mainly for financial reasons. There was also a bit of dissonance argumentation with mold etc. But when I learned that under certain conditions you can also get funding for the controlled residential ventilation, I wanted one.

Without controlled ventilation I personally would not do it in current new buildings. Especially if laundry is to be dried in the house.
