Hello people, I want to build a single-family house with a granny flat. A total of 250 sqm of living space. The single-family house will be 150 sqm and the granny flat 90 sqm. Of that, 10 sqm will go to the boiler room.
This raises the question why multiple times before one can contribute anything (except cubic meter prices)
Why now, why this floor space allocation, why this division?
Do you already have a specific use for the granny flat and can/must you count on this income?
How much time, skills, contacts, and leisure do you have for self-performed work?
I would be happy to hear experience reports.
I can tell you how to not only exceed a budget but actually blow it and still remain very cheerful. If you assume 600,000 for a project of this size, then in a few years you can tell a similar story – whether you are cheerful about it, I cannot say.
