Still don't understand? PB 240mm with 0.12 and mineral wool 120mm with 0.032, then ventilation and then brick veneer? That results in a U-value of just about 0.16 or how is the double-shell meant?

Yes - two-shell means a facing brick wall; yes - 1 cm finger gap and then facing bricks 11.5 cm. And no, it results in a U-value of 0.13 W/m²K.

Edit: UPS calculated incorrectly. I calculated with 120mm mineral wool and not with 140mm mineral wool. So with 140mm mineral wool, it adds up, yes...

On the KfW homepage. For example, in program 153 under the tab "Conditions".

That means, if I understood correctly, one would have to go from 36.5 cm bricks to 49 cm bricks to get from KfW55 to 40? (among other things)
