How should stair spotlights be switched on?

For example, in the kitchen on the wall, I have a button (90x120mm) with 4 rockers and 17 functions, which can be triggered manually (without reading glasses). Additionally, as an aid when pressing the button/rocker, the display shows every time what is triggered by it.

Effectively, however, only about 7 functions are triggered manually sporadically; the rest of the functions are automated to such an extent that no intervention is necessary, but the possibility exists. (15 functions are used daily)
