It is similar for us as well. Just under 3k extra per staircase as an additional cost.

Okay, thank you for the answers! Then it will probably be oak steps without lacquer.

very sensitive, you can see everything. With children, binder forgotten, going up and down again with street shoes ...., moving in during rainy weather, going upstairs from the terrace to get a jacket. It only works with a lot of discipline

I have the impression that you belong to the "squirrels" who try to build their house from answers to a dozen individual questions (unfortunately without presenting it as an overall project, so that the answers could be coordinated with the context). And you seem to be building with a general contractor, not taking out any or only a few trades, but deviating from their standard in some places or at least considering doing so. This is, to put it kindly, not a risk-free combination!

I definitely had to smile at "squirrels" because it fits so well :D Everything you say is correct. The price level of the general contractor is very good despite deviations from some standards (and chosen special solutions). I will present the overall project in due course, I think it could be quite varied (Mediterranean town villa in country house style, muntins, facades, cornices, French balconies by the blacksmith... so less the modern style)

I recommend you (by the way: attentive readers may notice similarities in the floor plan, but that is not the reason for my reading tip) and for insight into the sad song of and with references to the stories of other "squirrels". The best time is always before the fallen dice.
