How much do you estimate the demolition costs?

Demolition last week of a similar house here with us, an official building, built in 63-64, asbestos roof, faced, behind it wooden studwork, glass wool, drywall, 12 thousand with tax. By company. Three days, four people, about 100 hours plus excavator plus container, the rest is his profit. Karsten

Then he must also carry it out properly. If you work on it yourself and think his permit is enough to dispose of it, then it can quickly be gone. Proper disposal (which, where applicable, "begins" with the correct dismantling including respiratory protection stuff) is part of it. Unfortunately, apart from the asbestos cement sheets, you can only see that it is a charmingly crooked hut. From the picture and description, I cannot yet determine anything about the construction and materials. However, that is not insignificant for the price (or effort) question. You can still see nice roof tiles – those could certainly find enthusiasts.

Asbestos can be driven away or taken to a landfill by anyone.

I have now probably already taken 6 BigBags on a trailer to a disposal company. The bin costs about 150 euros there. It is important that it is in a BigBag with "Asbestos" written on it.

Also facade panels. Wet them, removed the stuff wearing gloves, a full face mask, and a suit, put it into the BigBag, then also put the clothes into the bag afterwards.

It’s always such a drama made out of this.

This way you are protected - but what about the neighbors?

The issue with the asbestos panels is a huge problem. In our neighboring town there was recently a construction halt because of it plus fines, etc. Thank you very much in advance for the tips and cost estimates. We have already applied for the demolition permit. I think we will start the demolition ourselves as a family project. Roof panels plus roof structure are not a big deal. I’m not exactly all thumbs either. Then I’ll see how it goes. If there is interest, I can upload pictures of the implementation. Thanks again. Regards Manuel

I only had my house demolished on Monday. It was a small 70sqm bungalow that was partially basemented and a 15-20sqm solid stable. I also had the idea to do it myself. But then I received an offer for €6000 with everything included. What can I say, there was a big excavator and a helper. I also helped out. After 12 hours we were done. Today I received the bill. There were 5 tons of wood, 270kg of other waste, and an incredible 240 tons of rubble. Ten large trucks left the yard. I would never have thought in my life that such quantities would be taken out of there. So don’t even think about it in your dreams and let the professionals do it. Alone the risk of injuring yourself with such work.
