Hello everyone,

we are currently really stressed about the delivery of our steel tube staircase from the company "J....". Since May, the company has been commissioned by our construction company to deliver our staircase. In the meantime, it has turned out that the measurement was "misplaced" in June, and to this day we do not have a staircase in the house. As a result, the screed cannot be installed, and with each day we get a longer delay.

What can possibly take so long for such a staircase? Does anyone have experience with this?

thx

n

I think, as with every company currently involved in construction, the holiday season and the high order volume are to blame. Or a supplier doesn't deliver, or or or .... A phone call could help... the forum less so

Hi,

yes, that's exactly where the problem lies. The company "J..." Treppen apparently is not able to give our construction company a precise statement about when the staircase will be finished or can be installed. Our site manager, according to his statement, is not being called back. The managing director of our construction company could not achieve anything even at the executive level, and we do not understand the problem. Is the thing so complicated that it takes weeks until the parts are delivered and welded together?

Set a deadline and alternatively they should commission another steelworker!

Have you already spoken directly with the stair supplier? We had similar "symptoms," but in the end, the entire delay was only because our shell builder was supposed to make an advance payment, which he couldn't do and first had to save up.
