How high is the terrace door?

in our new building we have a room height of 2.56m. Our architect says that 2.17m high terrace double doors would be possible. These should have an internal (wall) roller shutter box. It seems too low to us, as with our previous house offers and a room height of 2.50m we would have had the option to take 2.26m high terrace doors.

What do you think about this?

hello, it definitely looks strange to have such a small door at ceiling height. But a simple long door doesn't work either. I would take wider doors and then add a small divided window above the door... regards

Could it be that some have the window lintel in the ceiling during the shell construction? The roller shutter box seems to be directly at the ceiling. How is that solved?

I would say that with a poured ceiling, a lintel is then not necessary.
