Since the term has already come up a few times here, I have to ask very plainly again: What is a Kladdebuch?

Since the term has come up here a few times already, I have to ask really simply: What is a Kladdebuch?

That comes from me: like the sketchbook for artists, for other people it's the Kladdebuch. Kladde are handwritten notes, abbreviations, deletions, cheat sheets, notes, not exactly written in beautiful handwriting, but possibly glued or stapled in with scraps... I now have various Kladdebücher in different colors for recipes, miscellaneous, work notes, Mac notes, program steps, and garden. I have done away with the household book.

Ah ok, thanks. Learned something new again. I had never heard of that before.

Advantage: you’re more likely to look inside and see the individual feeling in the scribbles through different handwriting or pens.
Digital advantage: you can quickly copy something, save it with a link, and look it up if necessary

But I am more the "Kladdetyp," even though age-wise I fit more into the "Smartphone" category.
