One mainly keeps a household budget book to record the daily euros spent on household expenses over a longer period, for which there are no receipts or only small slips, because in the wallet the question arises: where did my money go?
For monthly or yearly obligations, you don't need a household budget book; an annual overview on a sheet of paper created in an hour is enough... Is it actually a men's problem to make it more complicated than it is?

There is a free software for the PC called koraccou**. You can give it a try. I think it's great and it’s faster than on the phone.

In my household budget book, the "daily" expenses are combined with the regular obligations. Additionally, there are various "one-time expenses"/purchases. Only this combined presentation of all items gives me the overview I want.

I have also made an Excel for us. Furthermore, I find it helpful to pay for all purchases by card, it makes it much easier for me.

We do that quite a bit as well. Most banks even offer an export function for the account statement in Excel. Anyone who is somewhat proficient in Excel can then relatively easily filter out the relevant amounts.
