Since electricity is becoming more and more expensive, I have been thinking a lot about how I can reduce my electricity costs. What else can be done besides eating in the dark?

I have connected sockets everywhere that can be switched off. Then nothing runs on standby anymore and no electricity is consumed. This is certainly also a protection against overvoltage.

You don't have to eat in the dark just to save electricity. It's enough to make sure that the appliances don't run empty; for example, the washing machine and dryer should only run when they are full. The dishwasher should also only be turned on when fully loaded.

I just thought of something else about how to save electricity. There are devices that you connect to the power source and that measure the consumption of household appliances. This way you can quickly identify and replace power guzzlers. This can save a lot of money, you wouldn't believe how much electricity some devices consume.

I recently replaced all my bulbs with LEDs. With these bulbs, or rather plugs, you can even save a considerable amount of electricity. They are just a bit expensive to purchase and the light might be a little unusual - it is a bluish cool light. But still, I can only recommend them. ;)

Hello,
in my basement I have installed lights with motion sensors because one often forgets to turn off the light there. Now you can walk through the basement and the light behind you will turn off by itself after half a minute.
