The additional costs are really high nowadays. If you save a bit there (or can calculate more precisely!), you can possibly lower the loan-to-value ratio and get a better interest rate -- so you save a lot of money in the long run. That's why I also try to find out as much and as accurately as possible beforehand.

Off-topic: Brandenburg is increasing the real estate transfer tax ... So watch out, I hope [Sachsen-Anhalt] takes a bit more time, elections are next year, maybe it will be calm until then.

Whether he now pays just under 8% for 209,000 euros or for 250,000 euros.. The difference is in the lower four-figure range.. Personally, I don't see the HUGE saving potential there. Although I intended this more as a "reminder" whether one might be overextending themselves with the entire house. Often, very different "unpredictable" costs come up, as you often read here.
