Hello everyone, I hope I’m in the right place and that someone can help me have peaceful nights again. For 5 days now, our entire basement has been under groundwater. Until 5 days ago, the groundwater was continuously pumped out, but now (for whatever reason) it is no longer being pumped and the water has now flooded the entire basement. Does this harm the house? What potential consequential damages could arise later??? Please help and best regards

That probably won't help you right now, but how is water supposed to be kept away after completion? It even extends into the entrance area.

Do I understand correctly that the terrace that stands in the water is there? If that is the groundwater, then you have built too deep... that cannot be changed, right?! I am just an amateur, but this situation does not make sense to me! What does your geotechnical report say, from where can the groundwater be found? Why still pump, the water cannot be displaced from the ground floor... ??

Someone must be busy with something else right now. I wish you a lot of strength to get through the situation! Doesn't one lower the groundwater level in such cases? I read it as if the floor beneath is supposed to be the basement. Overall, however, it looks as if the level is too low.

That's a fake, right? Why did you excavate such a large area so deeply? Somehow it doesn't make sense to me... especially since the shell construction is already standing (partly) and the water certainly wasn't "there" from one moment to the next... Strange, strange.

Hmm. If it is rainwater (I don't think so; that would be a lot and then it would be pumped further away) then it is less of a problem. With groundwater..... oh dear. And what happened to that one corner of the house??
