Everyone as they please. The days of broad advancement for everyone are long gone; families have to make sure that the standard of living for the next generation can at least be maintained. That can also mean supporting the offspring. Without this, in many cases, nothing would work anymore today.

Correct. Although here we are talking about a luxury good and not a necessity...

Simply put, 6*12*€660 in special repayments are needed to reduce the calculated term by 6 years. (Compound interest aside, but that plays a role for you). Can't they just give you the €50,000 directly in advance?

One would think that in times of the internet this generic 0815 clause from realtors, made for dullards, would be endangered with extinction – but apparently not, as often as I still read it. With this harakiri financing, you’d better give it to the rich landlord who then plays around with it in his golden bathtub.

Very interesting how opinions differ here. From harakiri to well affordable even without a granny flat. Well, what am I supposed to make of it now.

It remains that nearly a third of the income goes towards repayment. According to the internet, that's okay, according to some here definitely not. Hmm... I don't know.

And on the topic of parents: I know many people whose parents gave several tens of thousands of DM in the 70s, which was normal, and I rather have the feeling that this is no longer so common today. But my feeling could also be wrong.

Users each have their own risk perception. And rules of thumb like 1/3 of the salary are rules of thumb and not absolutes - they do not include the reality called "life." In the end, you have to know what risk you want to bear.

Only the "thinking" should not be determined by casual phrases like "1/3 of the salary" or "rent is wasted" money. The world is much more complex.
