The be-all and end-all is that you know the market value of your house! And I wouldn't take what Immoscout calculates or what it cost you... The market has exploded and nobody is giving anything away.

What are comparable houses going for? You can also have it appraised.

You don't need a real estate agent in the current situation. The money the buyer would give to the agent is better given to you.

As Ypg wrote, this hasn't worked like that for years. Nobody stands around booking appointments for weeks.

Post it on Immoscout... 4-5 appointments and the house will be gone!

And if you know its value, you can skip the bidding process.

The second person who sees it will want it, or the first one straight away. Go a bit by sympathy, after all, you have to do business with them and that's it.

We already sold our REH in March 2016. So that was before the boom, but during good economic times. We did not advertise at all. We knew what we wanted and spread our intention with the price among friends and relatives. No negotiable prices. Instead, a fixed price. Cousin then took the offer. The whole process took about 14 days. So: Talking at work or elsewhere, possibly a sign in the garden, and the thing is gone. Karsten

We could also sell our house immediately, at a profit. I wouldn't even have to advertise. Put a sign in the window, wait one day, the house is gone. That lets you sleep peacefully. Just in case something should happen and the house would need to be gone. I would rather not hire a real estate agent, but keep the money myself.

That's nice, as long as you don't have a heart attack when the wind changes direction ;)
