Purchase or build? When building, you can try to commission the first stages with individual offers, if the general contractor cooperates. So earthworks, foundation/slab or basement, and shell construction. If these services are commissioned separately and accepted upon completion, then you at least keep the tax advantage for them.

No, I wish you much success that it works out. Let's see what the general contractor says. They are a special breed with long endurance ...

The reason the house hasn’t been sold yet is probably because it’s too far out of the way for most people. As mentioned, the travel time to Düsseldorf is about 70 minutes. And the purchase price may already be too high for many for a semi-detached house. At such an amount, it becomes difficult for the middle class to finance it. I consider myself middle class as well, but we have a slightly better starting position or have received a bit of a head start. Otherwise, it wouldn’t work for us either. For me, that would be too risky then.

It will be a purchase. It is turnkey except for the topsoil, landscaping, and garage. These are not included. The house is basically already standing. So from the outside, it looks finished. The interior finishing is still completely missing.

Thank you very much! Yes, we have already noticed that too. I will report on how it went.

But then it is a developer and not – as has already been written here several times – a general contractor. Funny, the confusion usually goes the other way around.

Well, that almost sounds like Bocholt? Funny to "meet" people here who apparently are looking in the same area
