450 € for cigarettes every month? Heavy.

That means the following still needs to be paid from that:
- retirement savings? Especially for the woman if she doesn’t work for that long or not full-time
- daycare
- clothing

Then out of the 700 € there will be 200 - 300 € left. And that, I mean, is too little,

I don't think that's bad at all. I'm actually far from life wisdoms and don't like to interfere in people's private matters.. But... Did you notice that the biggest item after the installment is the cigarettes? With 5400€ per year. And 54000€ in 10 years.

Yes, 450 € for cigarettes is heavy, I know. Daycare costs us nothing, since Rheinland-Pfalz. The woman’s company completely covers retirement provision. Clothing still has to be bought from the remaining amount. I personally also find it too tight. That’s why my concerns and the request here in the forum. Thanks to you all in advance for the help/advice.

They say that when you build a house, you also have to partly give up/change some things. Of course, if you both quit smoking or significantly reduce it, the situation looks different.
