Unfortunately, that's how it is, they want 2 secure incomes. Not self-employed, part-time, shared apartment, etc.

Yesterday I went to the bank again, let's see if it will do any good for a pure appointment.

I'm certainly not a high earner, although a good sum does come into the accounts every month, at exactly this bank.
The loan amount I want would be fully secured by tangible assets or is significantly lower.

Pawnshop loans are no longer allowed to be given by the bank... (for real estate)

I'm really not much further with the (interim) financing yet. But I have something that could fit. House from around 1920 with an extension, one room is gutted, the other rooms (are okay, I guess). Heating, no idea. I'll take another closer look. I mean, you can move in first and then renovate bit by bit (as needed). However, the gutted room would have to be done fairly soon. Am I getting myself into a cost trap here, what do you think?

I saw a red old car from 1973. Back seats removed, engine no idea. Cost trap?

Car, also depends somewhat on the brand. There have always been quality fluctuations (rust, sealing... House, mh from the feeling, rather something like that than a 50s build The selection is also not that large, or rather my options for action. ;-)
