@€: Have you ever actually snagged a customer with your scheme here?

Really. If that was supposed to be a strategic provocation, then I can only strongly recommend that you, €uro, consider alternative acquisition approaches. Or your business model. Or both.

Euro's hobbyhorse is energy. So if you have auctioned the house and then need energy consulting, he will definitely have more helpful advice to give. Sweepstakes consulting is not everyone's thing. :)

What someone does with their money is ultimately their own business. What if someone here or everyone tells you, "Yeah great, join in," and it goes wrong? Then you can only hold yourself responsible because you listened to the misguided statements of complete strangers. On the other hand, no one would expect anything from you if you get the thing for one euro and save 249,999.

A business is always give and take; with this wisdom, it always works out.

Memo to myself: Don’t bother Euro for help and tips on sweepstakes.

I think it is naive to believe in a bargain. If it ends up benefiting a good cause, why not. I think the provider (who can be found through quick googling) must have thought something through and is not doing it out of pure altruism. After all, there is media coverage, and advertising costs money.

But I see no reason to give anything away here if the business is doing well. My company also sponsors several player teams in local leagues and fringe sports. We surely don’t do that for customer acquisition, because I don’t think our potential customers will watch the women’s cricket team play. :)
But my boss just wants, perhaps also for tax reasons, to share some of our success.

If everyone gives a little, the world will become a better...

especially since the auction is still running for 54 days today, the minimum bid has not yet been reached, and the bid is already close to 100,000E.... and as everyone knows, the price only goes up at the end :)

The question alone explains everything ;-)
You win customers with conviction and professional competence, not with compliant advertising nonsense! Whoever falls for the latter will never become a customer for me.
My posts are generally critical, objective, sales-independent, and direct! Sometimes seemingly too direct! ;-)
Today's usual "sucking up" is not part of my business philosophy, but rather a direct and pragmatic approach.
Certainly, this may cause me to lose some customers, but on the other hand, I also gain quite a few this way. To them I feel professionally and substantively committed; the rest I gladly leave to the salespeople! ;-)
I will certainly never get rich with this business model, but I can definitely survive and sleep very well! ;-)

Best regards
